What exactly we grade
The score is computed by measurable rules, not by feel. Each of these checks takes minutes to fix, yet decides whether people click on you or on the competitor above.
Title length
Google shows about 60 characters of the title. Longer gets cut off, shorter wastes the most valuable space in the results.
Meta description length
The description sells the click. We check whether it is between 70 and 155 characters and whether it ends cut off mid-word.
Keywords from the page
We compare the title and description with the most frequent words on the page itself. If they do not overlap, Google struggles to understand the topic.
Click signals
Numbers, brackets and a leading keyword are small details that raise the click-through rate, all else being equal.
